AI moodboards · real photos · free

Describe a vibe.
Get a direction.

Pixe turns a sentence into a moodboard of real, credited photos from Unsplash, Pexels and Openverse, then pulls out the palette, pairs the fonts and writes the brief.

How it works

From a sentence to a direction in four moves.

  1. 01 / 04

    Describe

“Cozy autumn café brand, film grain, warm.” A sentence is enough. The AI turns it into five searches: the subject, a texture, the light, a place and a detail.

  2. 02 / 04

    Curate

Pixe searches Unsplash, Pexels and Openverse at once and lays real, credited photos on an infinite board. Drag, resize, group, add notes.

  3. 03 / 04

    Extract

The palette comes out of the photos on your device. Then font pairings, WCAG contrast checks and a one-page creative brief.

Colour swatches and a type specimen card peeling off a print
  4. 04 / 04

    Share

Export the board as a PNG, or the palette as CSS, Tailwind or Figma tokens. Every photo keeps its credit.

What Pixe pulls out

A board is the start. The direction is what you hand over.

  • The palette

Six swatches from every photo, merged into one board palette. On your device, no AI.

  • Font pairings

Three Google Fonts pairings that suit the board, shown as live type cards.

  • Contrast checks

Every pair in the palette graded against WCAG AA and AAA before you ship it.

  • The brief

Mood, visual language, colour and type rules, and do and don’t, in one page of Markdown.

Real photos, properly credited

Three free libraries. Every photographer named.

Pixe isn't a stock site. It never re-hosts a photo or passes off AI images as stock: each print links back to its photographer and licence, and Openverse photos show their Creative Commons terms.

Photos provided by Unsplash, Pexels and Openverse. Pixe is made using the Openverse API and is not endorsed or certified by Openverse. Check each photo's licence before you use it.

The AI

A creative director on call, and always free.

Use our free server, or bring your own: Puter, OpenRouter or any OpenAI-compatible key. It only ever sees your words and public stock photos, never your uploads.

  • Vibe → searches

Five varied queries from one sentence.

  • Real alt text

Describes each photo for screen readers.

  • Font pairings

Google Fonts only, so you can use them.

  • The brief

One page you can paste into a deck.
